Map out fat & muscle by the body part
See the precise distribution of fat and muscle in each arm, leg, and torso with segmental analysis. Pinpoint excess fat and areas of weakness for instant clarity on where to focus your efforts.
Measure fat under skin, and deep within
How much of your body fat is an actual concern? Identify the harmless fat you can see and the hidden kind that could be a health risk with Subcutaneous Fat and Visceral Fat in numbers.
Know your body’s energy baseline, at rest
All bodies need calories to function, but the minimum amount required can really vary from person to person. Learn how your basal metabolic rate, or BMR, stacks up against those your age.
Weigh up the muscles that move you
Work out the state and strength of your body’s support system with your skeletal muscle mass always in check. Keep those muscles well-balanced so that you can stay mobile for longer.
Check for hidden obesity in any physique
BMI doesn’t always show the full story: anyone in normal ranges can be at risk of obesity, or on the high end without any issues. Know your body type for the clearest view of your inner health.
Estimate overall health based on hydration
Water isn't just a major part of one's weight; it's also essential to keeping life-critical processes going strong. Find out just how well your body operates with body water mass as your gauge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the MorphoScan Nova track multiple user metrics?

Yes, it can. The MorphoScan Nova locally stores health data of up to 8 user profiles, making it perfect for large households that need to keep their metrics separate, and their progress-tracking personal.

When linked to the MorphoScan Nova, these user profiles allow the scale to:

  • Instantly recognize users the moment they step on
  • Automatically match users to the correct profile
  • Individually track users’ body data and sync to the RENPHO Health App

Please note that only registered RENPHO Health App users can carry data over to other devices. This means that any users signed in on either a) Guest Mode, or b) an added member slot in another registered user’s account, will not be able to access their data on any mobile device other than the one that was connected at the time of their scan.

For the most seamless experience of the MorphoScan Nova, we strongly recommend being logged in to a registered RENPHO Health App account. Set up a user profile by following our instructions here.
What are electrodes? What is the difference between a 4-electrode and 8-electrode scale?

Electrodes are the metal plates or nodes on a scale that make contact with your skin and conduct electricity through the body. They each transmit signals to one another, receive signals in return, and measure differences in voltage between two points of contact. The more points of contact there are, the more precise your results will be.

4-electrode scales typically come in the form of just footplate with no handle, have one electrode on each corner of the scale, and send signals only through the feet. Since these scales are confined to making contact through the lower body, they’re best for simply getting a general sense of what’s improved and what needs to change, beyond just your weight.

8-electrode scales typically come with a handle attached to the footplate, have four electrodes on the footplate and four on the handle, and send signals through the hands and feet. Because these scales have double the contact points and direct access to the upper body, they’re a better option for greater accuracy, deeper insights, and a more complete analysis.
Do I need to pay to access any part of the RENPHO Health App?

No, there is no need to pay for anything. Every feature available on the RENPHO Health App is completely free.
Can I sync or import data from other fitness apps into the RENPHO Health App?

No. At the moment, data syncing between our RENPHO Health App and any third-party apps compatible with our devices works one-way only: data can only be exported from our app, and cannot be imported.

The following is a list of compatible third-party apps MorphoScan Nova users can export their data to:

  • Apple Health
  • Health Connect
  • Fitbit
What is the benefit of having a handle on the scale?

The handle we built into the MorphoScan Nova isn’t a carrying handle or for mere aesthetics, it’s equipped with four additional electrodes that help the scale paint a clearer picture of what your upper body is made of.

These electrodes serve as contact points for the body, so the scale can send signals and read returning ones through both your upper and lower halves. Without them, the MorphoScan Nova would only be able to probe your body through the soles of your feet — the farthest point away from your arms and torso, at a distance those electrical signals cannot reach.

Having direct access to your upper body via the handle means less guesstimates and greater clarity, leading to better-optimized fitness plans.
